  • As outlined by the limited warranty, we require both bill of sale and law tag to proceed with a claim.

"A copy of original bill of sale is needed to determine original date of purchase. Model name label and law label must be provided to identify the bedding and validate this warranty."

  • Do you have both your bill of sale and law tag?*
  • We're sorry to hear you do not have your bill of sale and/or law tag.

As outlined by the limited warranty, we require both to proceed with a claim: bill of sale to verify your order and law tag, as it contains unique information required for the claim.

Since your claim is incomplete, neither we nor an authorized retailer will accept your claim.

    For Bill of Sale

    ----------------------------------------------

We recommend contacting your original purchaser for a copy. Should you obtain a copy and have all the required information, check with your retailer, as they may be the ones who process your claim.

If needed, revisit this form and proceed with your claim. If you cannot obtain a receipt, you do not qualify for warranty coverage.

  • Did you purchase in-store or online?*
  • Sinking/Dipping or Sagging

To qualify as a defect, a dip must measure 1.5” or more on a quilted mattress, or ¾” on a smooth top mattress without the use of weight or pressure. The warranty code on your law tag will indicate the type of mattress you have, when matched with the warranty code key on our warranty card.

  • Mattress Leans

To qualify as a defect, a lean must measure 1” or greater.

A lean is a non-vertical position of the border or boxing on a mattress or foundation unit. If the sides of the mattress are not straight up and down, the mattress is considered to be leaning.

  • Side Bowing Defect

Side Bowing must measure 1” or greater to qualify for a defect.

Side Bowing of a mattress refers to bowing “in” or “out”, where the top edge is not straight.

  • Bunching Defect

Bunching is where the foam layers or top materials are gathering in one area. This can be caused by the adhesive not holding the layers together.

  • Sewing/Stitching Issues

Covered issues include seam stitching or tape edges splitting. This does not include loose threads or handle rips.

While part of the warranty, typically these will not affect the feel of the mattress in any way. Should a mattress arrive with such an issue, we typically recommend, if you’re able, keeping the mattress until you’re sure it’s the right fit before pursuing a claim.

  • Incorrect Dimension Defect

SSB manufactures all products utilizing the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) sizing standards.

Mattresses are hand-crafted and require a significant amount of manual labor. Thus, size variances within the design tolerances can occur from product to product. The Finished Size of the mattress is printed on the law tag.

  • Sinking/Dipping or Sagging

To qualify as a defect, a dip must measure 1.5” or more on a quilted mattress, or ¾” on a smooth top mattress without the use of weight or pressure. The warranty code on your law tag will indicate the type of mattress you have. See a chart of codes below. If you do not see your code, please still proceed.

Anything within the above tolerance is normal wear and is not a defect. It's normal for comfort layers to soften over time. The more the mattress is used the quicker the comfort layers soften and wear to each sleeper’s body shape. The same typically occurs with other furniture and shoes.

  • Below you'll find some steps and example photos that can be used as guidelines for the photos you'll submit.

    1. Remove All Bedding (blankets, sheets, mattress protectors, etc.)

    2. Place a straight edge across the affected area. This can be a yardstick, broom handle, or taut string.

    3. With a measuring tool, measure from the area where the dip is the lowest (not including tufts) to the straight edge. The tip of the measuring device should rest gently on the surface of the mattress. Do not put pressure on the mattress.

    4. Take at least one photo close up, showing the measurement clearly.

    5. Take at least one photo from a distance, showing the measurement and the whole bed.

  • Improper Foundations can also affect the feel of a mattress. For this reason, we require photos of your foundation to submit a sag/dip depression claim.

Be sure to inspect your foundation for sagging or broken pieces that could impact the feel of the mattress above it. By not providing a sufficient supportive frame, damage can occur to the product that will void your warranty.

For info on suitable frames and support, please refer to our warranty card here.

  • Take one photo of all parts of your mattress setup. This includes foundation AND metal base, or slatted frame AND measurements between slats. Remove the mattress to show the whole surface. Be sure the feet of any support are visible in your photo(s) like the examples below.

    4. Take at least one photo close up, showing the measurement clearly.

    5. Take at least one photo from a distance, showing the measurement and the whole bed.

To capture incorrect dimensions (no foundation photo required)

The dimension measurements need to be performed on the bottom of the mattress (face down) seam to seam to get accurate measurements. Pillowtops and quilted tops tend to curve at the ends resulting in shorter measurements.

    1. Remove All Bedding (blankets, sheets, mattress protectors, etc.).

    2. Stretch a tape measure across the surface of the mattress (width or length, depending on where the discrepancy is suspected)

    3. Take a close-up photo to show the measurement clearly

    4. Take at least one photo from a distance, showing the measurement of the whole bed.
